  I don't think Trump cares who someone like Sam gave money to in the past. Do you? I don't even think Trump is all that "conservative", he just found a party he could control and as long as he gets his, he does not care beyond that.

  Even better! Trump gets to use the "backslider comes back to Jesus" style narrative. But there's an early taker advantage, too many people sucking up for advantage, and it's just commonplace.
