  That's .gitignore. GP is asking about what you have in your .gitconfig.

    You can however put those in your global `core.excludesfile` path as defined in .gitconfig

  If that last one is vim, you probably actually want `*.sw?` as vim will create a new temporary file if you decided to edit anyway when one exists. It could clobber other tools' file endings, though.
