MIT's insect-sized bots fly 100x longer with redesigned wings
- bhaney 2y ago100x longer than the previous duration of 10 seconds, while tethered to a stationary power source by a long thin wire. The flight time is how long until the bots physically break down from stresses, not how long until they run out of power.
- tocs3 2y agoI am not going to hold my breath waiting for one to pollinate any flowers but I am still impressed. Sixteen minutes with those wings and and actuators (and wings flapping so fast) is worth a short read.
