Anyone who thinks Kash Patel is rebelling against Trump or resisting Musk hasn't been paying attention. This isn't some kind of grass-roots rebellion regardless of what some might want to believe, it's just an exercise in managing the logistics of complying with the mandate from above.
- IAmGraydon 2y agoI think you're wrong, and I think they're trying to force Musk out. This was not only from Kash. It came from the heads of many (most?) agencies, and they all ended the same way, basically saying "don't answer that email, we are in charge of hiring and firing in this agency". It's a clear challenge by the group to Musk's power.
- cowboylowrez 2y agoI'm hoping this is the start of some sanity returning. Trump is doing a disservice if he doesn't let his nominated and congress-confirmed team execute their mission to the best of their abilities. I personally think this is just Trump trying to repay Musk's obvious campaign generousity and maybe it got out of hand. I find it hard to believe that Musk would pass muster in any congressional confirmation hearing, but I do understand many "positions" don't need approved by congress.
