Sure, developers know about Git for the CMS. But this is going to get really painful when a non technical marketer who doesn't know Git, GitHub and other tech tools needs to contribute articles to the blog, and they would have to keep asking the developers that are already occupied with moving fast with building and the product. This will get more apparent as the startup scales and hires marketers and other people who shouldn't touch the codebase.
