Although some aspects of Category Theory will apply to Programming, it seems to me to be a slight abuse of language in that the majority of the theory does not correspond to physical and/or digital systems. More importantly, Category Theory is a language that allows you to describe behavior and qualities, abstractly; it does not prescribe a specific methodology.
