I don't understand this question: how can the private companies in the industry be placed on the chopping block? By outlawing them?

- marnett 2y agoIn the context of government it would mean nationalizing them.
- jedberg 2y agoBy having a national health care system that would obviate the need for private insurance.
- ncallaway 2y agoIf the government offered a public option for medicare at rates that were sustainable for the government, but significantly below market prices for health insurance companies, that could be a real danger to health insurance companies. So that's what I'd like to see happen.
