- no_wizard 2y agoThere was a time where Reddit was good for discovery as well
- pjmlp 2y agoBefore we were all on USENET, some lucky ones were on Compuserve and AOL, and BBSs were limited by phone lines, not really anything to test loads.

- stevekemp 2y agoKuro5hin was pretty big, back in the day. But /. was the biggie, along with need to know. We get the term slashdotted from there, after all.
- _ywdj 2y agoOh man, the most helpful article I’ve ever read about depression and burnout was on Kuro5hin. Luckily it’s been preserved on Wikibooks: https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Demystifying_Depression https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Demystifying_Depression Still holds up well two decades later.
