I don't see how this improves things vs the other mechanisms that have been used to push HTTPS (e.g. various browser settings/extensions/etc. to do HTTPS by default, HSTS and HSTS Preloading, weighting via search engines). All this does it make it harder to use the browser, get users to click through warnings, and make it more likely that users are going to do something dumb.
