- LPisGood 2y agoWait that sounds like a really good use case. Do you still need a magic mouse/keyboard?
- 42772827 2y agoYou don’t need one, but you’d want one if you’re serious about getting work done. Honestly it makes more sense just to lug around a MacBook Air. You can use battery from the MBA to get more time on the AVP. Aside from the battery being kind of clunky it’s not a bad set up

- bookofjoe 2y agoDo you have Vision Pro and use Mac Mirroring? I do/tried and the poor resolution made it a FAIL for me.
- 42772827 2y agoDid you use it with Vision OS 2? They upped the resolution a ton. It was a huge mistake to ship it with the lower resolution mirroring.
- bookofjoe 2y agoI did update to OS 2 (and now 2.3); still too fuzzy for me be able to use it for work. I watch movies in 4K on the device and they are fantastic, so it's not my eyes/inserts.
- zitterbewegung 2y agoI have used it in the curved display and the resolution was great.
- bookofjoe 2y agoMaybe I need new Zeiss inserts.
- zitterbewegung 2y agoTry cleaning them first.
- asadotzler 2y agoPortable as in you can carry it to some other location with power, because a Mac mini doesn't come with a battery like a laptop. Why not get a MacBook Air that fits easily in your backpack and makes it truly portable and then you have a laptop that works when you're not wearing the dork goggles instead of a useless brick that needs power and an external display to work at all.
- zitterbewegung 2y agoI think it is that the curved display is roughly two 5k monitors in resolution which doesn’t fit in a backpack and using it as more as a desktop replacement instead of a laptop and you can’t put two 5k screens in your bag. If you are going to a place for 8 hrs and power is available the portability argument is harder to justify but the price isn’t .
- turdprincess 2y agoI got mine for health reasons (low back, must work lying down sometimes), and while for me it’s a really useful tool, I couldn’t see working in it full time. It’s just too bulky, leaves a dumb red mark on my face, has bugs where sometimes it doesn’t connect, and is pretty much always dead unless it’s actively plugged in (doesn’t idle well). Some of those things can be improved but inherently strapping a computer to your face is just not a great experience. I definetly get use out of mine - I’d say 5 hour a week is a sweet spot - and it’s cool working in novel places like a garden or by a river, but full time doesn’t seem feasible
