Netanyahu specifically refused a ceasefire before the election because he didn't want to give Biden a win. He wanted Trump to win, because Trump will gladly let Netanyahu have whatever he wants in the long run. There was no "yanking" going on. It was all calculated to hurt Biden and help Trump.
