  Tech has become a profoundly anti-intellectual discipline. People are happy to learn all about the intricacies of the Java standard library, but they aren't interested in discussing anything outside of their field. To you, dear downvoter of my above post, anything outside of your field is so simple and one-sided, you simply need to consume your beliefs from your chosen news organization. No need to analyze. After all, it's not like politics or economics or government policy could be a fraction as complex as the Java standard library, which you've undoubtedly memorized, and feel quite smug about.
