There was once a time, at least for some of us, where bandwidth was so limited and even localhost resources so scarce, as to make running Mosaic/Netscape difficult. Lynx saved the day many times for me. Over puny dialups, over satellite links, over connections hammered by early DDoS.
- Topgamer7 2y agoBack when I was 12 (2005 or so), I was learning blender 2.38 or so. And all learning back then was webpages with screenshots. I was at a cabin with dial up, just being able to disable images and selectively right click and click load image was a life saver back in the day. It's a shame modern browsers don't really support low bandwidth needs at all.
