Hey HN!
I'm excited to announce the launch of my new project - OneClickCompare.
Compare prices from Amazon, eBay, and AliExpress in seconds with OneClickCompare. Simply search for any product and instantly find the lowest prices in one place. Save time and money today!
I will continue to improve this and would love to get your feedback / suggestions! :)
- ratg13 2y agoSites like AliExpress and eBay are full of zero reputation “retailers” that look to offer products for sale with the intention of not delivering on them. The lowest prices are almost always scams
- average_r_user 2y agoNice Job! Genuine Question: what is the source of the underlying data?
- krisozy 2y agoThanks! Data is scraped live from the marketplaces.
- average_r_user 2y agoDid you find some walls put in place by these sites to block scraping? I have a little project like that written in R that has surprisingly worked well over a year without maintenance but some marketplace were off-limits without specific proxies
- ibdf 2y agoI would argue that this is not a price comparison tool, more of a multi-search tool. When I search for an item I get somewhat similar products which doesn't help me find the best price for what I am looking for, just helps me find similar products. Ebay results is also the reason why I avoid similar tools like Google Shopping because you get so many bad results that's easier just going to eBay.
- blancotech 2y agoI really like the idea behind this site and the goal of finding best deal across the web. But what you said is exactly what my buddy and I have felt. Google Shopping also injects all these advertisers who have similar but different products. There isn't a good place to just say "Here's the exact product I want, now find it for me for the best price" that we've found. We built and use https://www.lowlow.bot https://www.lowlow.bot for price tracking specific item urls. Next we were thinking of doing it across sites just like you described, so it's good to hear from someone else who prefers that.
- dubious2 2y agothanks.gave me good results.looked up item I searched other day this would have saved me a lot of aggravation.
- pogue 2y agoI think, like others have said, if you could find the exact items, like searching by ASIN number or sku or something else it could be much more helpful. If you could do something like camelcamelcamel.com where it allows me to find the exact product & then put my email to watch for price drops of the product I'm looking for, that would be ideal. Keep up the good work!
