Ask HN: Is Calendly Down?
Their status page doesn't show any incidents, but calendly.com displays Cloudflare's host not reachable page
- achempion 2y agoAh, this is a great example of Goodhart's Law in action - "When a measure becomes a target, it ceases to be a good measure." The status page showing all green while the service is actually down illustrates this perfectly. When uptime/status indicators become key performance metrics that teams are measured against, there can be pressure to keep those indicators green even when they don't accurately reflect reality.
- genezeta 2y agoThey may have updated just now, but https://www.calendlystatus.com/ https://www.calendlystatus.com/ does show a "Major outage" on calendly.com and a red notice with > Investigating - We are currently investigating this issue. > Feb 20, 2025 - 04:37 EST Update: It's now green and says: Feb 20, 2025 Calendly Outage Resolved - This incident has been resolved.
