They got me all sorts of worried because my car doesn't like to start when it's too cold and I should probably plan on getting some food or something then I looked at the forecast -- pretty much the same weather as the last few weeks while TFA is talking about blizzards 100-something miles away in Chicago. Really should look into my car battery one of these days though...

  Get a block heater wired in? But yes also car battery, and check if your battery leads are dirty.

What is going on with this article? No where listed is going to be cold at all in the 10 day forecasts, and even the links to other stories about weather are wildly incorrect. Is this some weird AI hallucination, a reported in the UK having no idea what’s going on, fake news for clickbait, or are we all just living in a fever dream?

  It is extremely/unusually cold here in Kansas right now. -10 F tonight, but no wind to speak of. Earlier I saw North Dakota was forecasted to get down to -38F or so. Looks like it might even freeze in parts of Florida.

  Squinting while reading it… some places are actually getting -45F or so with -60F windchills, and some places are getting (February Seasonal Temperatures - 50). Still cold but not as cold as the headline suggests. I’m happy it’s leaving here. I’m just north of North Dakota and it’s been absolutely miserable here for a week, hanging out around -35C to -40C.

I live in one of the states mentioned in the article. It’s been really cold here for the last two days, but being from the Midwest, you kind of get used to it. Tomorrow’s just going to be another cold day
