Am I misreading or does that say that a PBH with the mass of a million aircraft carriers[1] could pass through a human without killing them?
1: the largest aircraft carriers displace about 100,000 metric tons or 10^11 grams
- PaulHoule 2y agoGravity is a really weak force. Electromagnetic forces generated in your muscles can overcome the gravity of the whole planet, like 6 × 10²⁷ grams.
- gottorf 2y agoIt's true you can jump, but you do need to achieve 25,000 mph to truly "overcome" Earth's gravity ;-)
- soulofmischief 2y agoIf you could continually generate thrust of the same magnitude as a jump though, you'd still break free.
- PaulHoule 2y agoAnd you can do that with the electromagnetic forces in the fuel in your tanks with a mass ratio of 15 or so. Not that hard.
