- pfannkuchen 2y agoI think it’s peculiar how much of the commentariat denies that he is doing things for ideological reasons. Like, quite obviously the best thing he could do for profit is to shut up and quit talking publicly about politics. I believe that people are actually making real world Tesla purchasing decisions based on his public persona, and this could have a major impact on Tesla and likely already is. Not to mention public support for and excitement about SpaceX seeming to be below what it used to be despite continued advances on their part technically. I don’t think it’s completely crazy to suspect he’s controlled opposition or something like that, but the idea that he is doing what he is doing for money is ridiculous in the original severity of the word.
