Heh, the fusion race is interesting, but I think with recent events, there's a reasonable chance that the non-proliferation regime is going to completely snap within the next few years. A whole lot of countries will either openly join the nuclear weapons club, or enter a Israeli like state of nuclear ambiguity, or openly "leak" rumors of nuclear latency.
