- mrob 2y agoThis is especially true of hand soldering. Hand soldering requires regular cleaning of the soldering iron tip. Both the common methods (brass wool and damp sponge) produce many tiny balls of solder that roll and bounce easily. They can end up caught in clothing then fall into food.
