Based on the Github commit history, O3DE started dying off in 2023 and never recovered. There is still not a single shipping game in https://o3de.org/showcase/ https://o3de.org/showcase/ either.
- bangaladore 2y agoThat's because its basically impossible for a normal developer to use CryEngine (what this is based on). CryEngine was always an industry engine. Its very complex and has poor documentation. My guess is the primary use for this is going to be corps cloning it for their own internal use, whatever that might be. I see lots of huawei-aligned commits.
