There is a lot of physics that suffers from "bad metaphysics" precisely because of its practitioners reinventing metaphysics, in the guise of "interpretations" of physics, when they are unaware of obvious problems that arise, which even a small amount of reading would've made them aware of.
Could you give examples? I'm not sure what you're referring to.
- shrikant 14y agoMaybe the commenter was referring to the "quantum energy" BS spouted by the likes of Deepak Chopra? (but in nicer words that I personally would've put it...)
- drumdance 14y agoThat was my thought of it as well. Such pseudo-science demeans both science and the people who use it. If new age spirituality is so awesome, why the need to use pretend-science to justify it? Why can't it be awesome on it's own terms?
