I've recently started using cursor and I pretty much just use it as a smart autocomplete. Having seen the larger blocks of code generated I certainly wouldn't trust it to generate most of a program. This sounds more like a PEBKAC issue than a problem with the tools. Maybe you're just burned out or something.
