Now maybe they lost the hard drive, but more likely they are either: 1) dead 2) so rich that it wouldn't improve their life any to out themselves as Satoshi, while it might make their life more complicated owing to governments that may resent it My guess is that #1 is the more likely. But, you know, if I'm wrong and it's #2, I guess it could be Jack Dorsey. But the simplest answer is more often the correct one.
