Legacy is a good one. Others: Big code base. Big team. Big company. Different languages (and preferably in different paradigms; OO/FP and low/high-level). Different frameworks/stacks. And "in anger" also really helps IMHO (this means when shit went really bad and needs to be fixed fast).
