Are you in standard or scientific? Each new operator (Not sure if thats the correct term) is calculated immediately. ie 1+2x3 is worked out as 1+2 (Stored into buffer as 3) x 3 = 9 But scientific does it correctly where it just appends the new expression onto the buffer instead of applying it
