No no, it would be "just as stupid as the 2020 conspiracies" if Joe Biden had said "Mark Cuban went to Pennsylvania and boy, he really knows those voting computers... anyway we won in a landslide"

- vkou 2y agoIt wouldn't matter. Elections are closely monitored by observers from both parties. If there is credible evidence of fraud across multiple election sites in multiple states, including states with blue legislatures, those observers should probably stop sitting on it. Assuming any evidence exists, why did none of the people who could actually gather any file injuctions, lawsuits, etc? They had four months to do it, three of them while the incumbent still controlled the executive.
- llamaimperative 2y agoI'm not arguing there is fraud, I'm arguing a meaningful set of things would need to be different for it to be "just as stupid" to claim so, including "the potential fraudster appearing to publicly brag about committing fraud."
- pharrington 2y agoMy first google result searching for "2024 voter suppression lawsuit"[@] mentions a lawsuit challenging voter purges. Gerrymandering is legal, if done by the books, which is the entire point of doing it. And the voter suppression caused by apathy due to FPTP (in the US and UK) or minimum-vote thresholds like the 5% rule here in Germany is built into the system, so even harder to legally challenge even though Germany may lose up to 20% of all cast votes in next week's election in the worst case because they are summarily dismissed this time.
