Precisely because all of the US election infrastructure is at the state level without meaningful federal or external oversight I think it’s hard to come to a conclusion other than you aren’t going to be able to trust the results from a lot of states precisely because they are run by partisan actors who are now clearly fighting the idea of going to jail once this is over. Might be worth thinking about some strategies for change that don’t rely on elections.
