Some actions we can take are to reduce our collective meat consumption, reinstate WWII levels of progressive taxation, and use the money towards "public luxury, private sufficiency", so that the now even-poorer chicken- and turkey-farmers (and hopefully other livestock-farmers, too, given their environmental impact) can continue to do meaningful actions that support others, rather than getting further depressed and offing themselves.
