- talldayo 2y agoReplacement rate isn't an issue for countries with functional immigration paths. America can't choose to whine about unemployment and replacement rates while flying immigrants and asylum seekers back home on the taxpayer dollar. Next time the minimum wage inevitably gets raised to an unsustainable level, thank the Republicans for getting rid of everyone that would work those lower-paying jobs. Simply birthing more idiots to work the cash registers is how America turns into a nation of drunkards and overpaid underachievers a-la the USSR. Even China knows they're worth more than that, and they're dealing with an actual population crisis.
