Original title "Immense Data Storage: Envisioning Terabytes Encoded Within a Millimeter-Sized Crystal"
Nowhere in the story does it actually say they encoded 1 TB of data. It's only referring to the implied potential density.
- allears 2y agoIt also doesn't mention how the data is read back, or the read/write speed. This seems to be a lab phenomenon and a hyped-up article.
