Has anyone looked at the demographics of who Meta fired?
It's been about a month since Meta killed off it's DEI programs[1],
are we sure they didn't simply fire people based on discriminatory criteria,
and using the "low performer" claim to cloak the practice?

- zaptrem 2y agoWhat incentive would they have to do that?
- cratermoon 2y agoDiscriminatory termination is against the law. A company may use "low performing" as a pretext. Of course under the current administration maybe Meta has nothing to worry about.
- zaptrem 2y agoI meant "what incentive would they have to just now start discriminating against their high performers?" This is a multi trillion $ mega-corp with thousands of metric and profit-focused decision makers, not Judd's Confederate Bake Shop.
- cratermoon 2y agoLet me repeat my previous observation: Meta killed off it's DEI programs[1] 1 https://www.axios.com/2025/01/10/meta-dei-programs-employees https://www.axios.com/2025/01/10/meta-dei-programs-employees... > high performers I'm not sure where you got that. There's a vast middle between low performer and high performer. > profit-focused decision makers, not Judd's Confederate Bake Shop. Have you been paying attention to Zuckerberg?
