You wrote that the British media was claiming Tim Berners-Lee invented the internet. During the opening ceremony, they clearly referred to him as the inventor of the World Wide Web. I'm not quite sure what jonhendry misread.

- tymekpavel 14y agoYour question implied the British media was claiming Tim Berners-Lee invented the internet, otherwise you wouldn't have asked it. I never said you made the claim. The bottom line is, TBL's appearance in the opening ceremony clearly labelled him as the inventor of the WWW.
