This potential only existed for a very short period of time; current chess engines eclipse human capabilities completely; human assistance is about as useful to them as an amateur players advice would be to Magnus Carlsen.
An uncomfortable analogy.
- vonneumannstan 2y agoPlease boost this response. People are willfully blind or are being deceived into thinking Human + AI offers anything but liability in competition with pure AI system. The quoted example was only true for a very short period of time in a specialized form of chess, correspondence chess. No system with Human in the loop can currently come close to beating the top chess engines.
