Why leave Chicago?

  NYSE Chicago (formerly the Chicago Stock Exchange) hasn’t been relevant for a long time and it’s easier to move the existing exchange license than file for a brand new one. And I don’t think this exchange has been centrally staffed in nearly a decade, possibly longer.

    Right. Everything I've read says the operation will be entirely automated/virtual. This decision is clearly intended to get away from Illinois's operating regulations and move toward Texas' looser reins.
