Google Trends: Washington DC Searches Soar for IBAN, SwissBank, etc.
- Terr_ 2y agoThis looks more like speckled noise than "soaring" to me. You need to zoom out to the whole country to see an uptick.

- cebert 2y agoI’ve come across discussions about Swiss banks, but I’m not entirely clear on their advantages. My understanding is following 2018, it has become significantly more challenging to utilize these accounts for tax evasion or other illicit activities. Given these circumstances, why would anyone still consider opening one in the present day? Is its purpose to have money in another country in case the US collapses?
