- stymaar 2y agoIt's a populist trope, as if you could elect the hundreds of thousands of people that are required so that the government can even exist.
- insane_dreamer 2y agoNothing, really. The big problem is that now Trump has politicized the entire government, including a bunch of boring paper-shuffling agencies that have been largely nonpartisan with career civil servants who persist for decades regardless of the president. A bit of an aside, but Trump making himself the chair of the Kennedy Center has got to be one of the biggest shows of ego that I can think of.
