There's no way it's not a factor. 12 months ago I hated Musk but it would only have had a limited impact on my car choice, I'd still definitely look at Teslas as an option. Now he's taken over a foreign government to pursue overly fascist goals, being seen in public in a new Tesla is just not something I can consider. Doing this in Germany would be even more inconceivable. I can't imagine this is an unusual way to feel.
