Apple TV+ crosses enemy lines, will be available as Android app starting today

- zdw 2y agoThis is kind of a weird announcement, as AppleTV+ has worked on an Android TV (either embedded in a TV, or with a separate box like the nVidia Shield) for a few years now. What took so long to put a very similar app on mobile devices?
- dtagames 2y agoIf I had to guess, I'd say Apple doesn't like having to share a cut of the revenue with Google. They're used to being the one taking the cut. Apple TV isn't a successful platform so this is a last-ditch effort.
