I wonder what companies can do to prevent these scams. Remote work requires trust and AI means you can’t really trust that you’re looking at a real person or hearing a real person. Remote interviews can be faked.
- toss1 2y agoEven for remote work, insist the finalists or at least those given offers fly in to a single in-person meeting. Even a meeting near their purported location with a trusted agent would help. The NK hires could never make it to the meeting. At the very least, if you are doing DOD work, you really need to properly vet your hires if you don't want a bad headline about your company...
- toomuchtodo 2y agoWeek long in person onboarding. There’s a cost, but it’s just good onboarding imho from an org culture perspective.
