Am I right in understanding that this "declaration" is not a commitment to do anything specific? I don't really understand why it matters who does or does not sign it.

- karaterobot 2y agoYep, it's got all the force of a New Year's resolution. It does not appear to be much more specific than one, either. It's about a page and a half long—the list of countries is as long as than the declaration itself, and it basically says "we talked about how we won't do anything bad".
- flanked-evergl 2y agoThe children running the European countries (into the ground) like this kind of theatre because they can pretend to be doing something productive without having to think.
