I’m unsure if the Trump effect was holding TSLA up vs the realization that FSD as a product is goalposts on wheels and the steep, very apparent drop off in global vehicle sales causing the price to head towards a fundamentals valuation. Doesn’t help that BYD is giving away their self driving capability vs Tesla charging for the software. Mixing politics and business is a terrible idea in that case. He had tons of money, lot of fun tech to play with, but wanted power and more women, now he became unofficial US president. So what will come next is people hating his decisions, and not supporting his businesses.

China appears to be looking to reap the low hanging fruit of AI and FSD. It's capitalism, comrade. Sure hurts to lose your hype-based overvaluation.

Sounds like a big drop until you realize it gained 130% in the last quarter of 2024 alone. This drop has only brought it back down to where it was in December.
