  that's what confused me: > Among the priorities set out in the joint declaration signed by countries including China, India, and Germany was “reinforcing international co-operation to promote co-ordination in international governance.” so looks like they did , at the same time, the goal of the declaration and summit to become less reliant on US and China. > Meanwhile, Europe is seeking a foothold in the AI industry to avoid becoming too reliant on the US or China. So basically Europe signed together with China to compete against US/UK or what happend?

    The agreement doesn't mean much. It's just a list of good intentions. Most counties were fine to say yeah I'll do good things if it's not binding. Vance & Trump were an exception to that.
