Show HN: Kids tales based on cartoons/movies/anime and games made with AI
Greatings,
I built bubutales, a website that generates short and long fairy tales inspired by cartoons, movies, anime, and games. The goal is to made child tales to be interesting not only for kids but for parents also.
I have now ~60 tales based on cartoons that all you know:
- Shrek
- Nemo
- Madagascar etc
Also I have few examples that I'm going to continue to create:
Movies:
- Matrix!
Anime:
- My Neighbor Totoro
Games:
- Minecraft
How it works:
10 fairy tales are free to read, 20 more for registered users for each categoty, and 40+ with full access (paid for fair price).
Each tale has a short and long version to match bedtime needs.
Ukrainian audio is recorded by my wife and me, while English audio is AI-generated. More languages will be added based on demand.
The site is still evolving, and I’d love to hear your feedback! What do you think about the idea? I have some amount of users and got some initial feedback but I need to know where to develop it next!
Check it out: bubutales.net
- Khranovskabitte 2y agoYour project sounds fantastic! Making fairy tales enjoyable for both kids and parents is a great concept, and the variety of inspirations—from cartoons to games—is impressive. I love that you offer both short and long versions, catering to different bedtime routines. The addition of Ukrainian voiceovers is a wonderful touch!
- m_khranovskyi 2y agoThank you so much! Almost all voiceovers are ready. But in free tales - all are done.
- beardyw 2y agoIt's a short ride from "inspired by" to copyright infringement. Be careful.
- m_khranovskyi 2y agoI've got it. In worst case scenario - what can be done? Banned? Will they sue?
- taisaVX 2y agoInteresting project. Very helpful for tired parents who need some rest. And it is important to propose children audio listening instead of screen viewing.
- m_khranovskyi 2y agoThank you! Yes. You can read it yourself or turn on voiceover and relax=)
