A model where a business that makes money off of the public data, after a certain time or amount of money a fee schedule kicks in where they pay back into the system seems like it would make sense.
- ori_b 2y agoOne could call that a 'tax', and to keep the process streamlined, instead of itemizing the benefits that corporations get from government services, one could simply charge a percentage of profits.
- opello 2y agoThat seems reasonable but I was imagining a system that allowed a window of time to bolster innovation. Maybe that's silly.
