I'm sure the reasoning behind this is that it just has to discourage, and therefore the capsaicin amount is low enough to do that, but also cheap enough to manufacture in tape format and sell at a markup. What I'm more interested in is...does this actually work? Could you put this tape on things in your house that could actually be targets for rats? On random pantry items? On your siding?
