- chrisco255 2y agoThe whole OpenAI debacle is a cluster. Clearly OpenAI should have been founded as a for-profit corp from the beginning. If it had, then folks like Musk that put up $100M to help found it wouldn't have been shuttered out of whatever deal is going on to transform it into a for-profit.

- graeme 2y agoAnd at least at the stated valuation. They've valued it at $40 billion but if they decline larger offers it is hard to sustain the low valuation.
