Actually think this is an outdated opinion. It was true initially that writing your own was the correct approach, but that was because the proper abstractions had not been figured out. At this point, langgraph is the successor to langchain, and is much better.
It's natural that software in this space will evolve quickly, but that's not a proper argument for writing everything on your own.
- PaulHoule 2y agoThe HITL support looks good, at least in principle. If I was advising somebody how to do a really difficult agent task (anywhere I didn't have an idea on how to bootstrap a large training set) I'd consider building a system that lets a human do all the steps manually first, then build something that can automate the steps.
