Yeah, social media distorts what it's actually like.
I'm struggling with having the patience to dive into a new technology. I just end up asking myself "what's the actual usefulness", and I can't find an answer that's convincing for me. That's how I missed the boat with AI. But then again, even now I struggle to find good use cases for it beyond the occasional search.
- verdverm 2y agoThere is a lot of AI besides LLMs and generative models. I work with a company that uses AI models (largely classifiers) of many kinds to double check doctors. I consider their mission very meaningful work. Learn from places that favor long form content over the short form and short term that is pervasive in the modern media landscape
- mmarian 2y agoHmm, yes, maybe I'll start reading books about financial markets. It's something I'm interested in (opposite to meaningful for most others, I know :D). Thanks!
