- lupire 2y agoProbably not. Most statistics is new, due to the explosion of interest since the advent of computers.
- frabert 2y agoI think the article's author may have seen the cs.DS classification on the arxiv and assumed it meant Data Science instead of Data Structures
- nerdponx 2y agoIt's also possible that they don't actually know the difference, or was even asked to change it by an editor to make it sound more trendy. Skepticism of even good journalism is healthy. Gell-Mann amnesia and all.
